Enjoy the morning sun and moonlight
through the elegant tsukimishoji paper sliding doors
with special sliding windows
for natural light to fill the room.
A second-floor room facing the central garden.
When you open the windows, you are greeted by the beautiful evening view of the illuminated garden below. Traditional tsukimishoji, sliding paper doors designed for moon viewing, usually open by sliding up and down, but this room hosts a rare type that slides from side to side. During your stay, why not enjoy the view of the moon by opening the small sliding doors.

Due to this you may hear some footsteps from the hallway. We value the preservation and inheritance of Kyoto’s traditional culture, so we thank you for your understanding.

Regarding Curfew
Our inn locks the front doors at 11:00 pm. Since this inn is an Edo period kyomachiya style building from more than 170 years ago, the sounds of guests returning late can be heard around the old building and may cause bother to other guests. Due to this, and for the safety of our guests, we ask everyone to be careful to return to the inn before the doors lock at 11:00 pm. Thank you for your cooperation.
